Yeah the problem with that is I had so much down time towards the end of the year that I was still getting paid for just sitting home that I thought getting the cash at the tail end would be better lol. Its really not a huge deal. If I broke the contract so be it. I have more than made the money up in just the 3 days I've been at this new job.

Well things have a way of working themselves out. I just got back from my 5 week hitch out in the Canary Islands, and one of my ex coworkers told me he was quitting. Knowing they were probably in a jam I put the word out that I would have about a month free before my next hitch and was willing to help out with training or installations.
So the president calls me up today and asks me to go up to Fargo and train a customer for 3 days.... at 500 bucks a day plus he made all the flight / hotel / car arrangements on top of that.
It will probably be a recurring thing, too.

Not sure what business this guy is in, or how much he gets paid, but PTO can be a big paycheck in my business.. I know where I work we are allowed to hold up to 800 hours pto, and with making $100+ an hour that is a BIG pay check..."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. Well I only had a few days of PTO coming to me. it really wasn't worth arguing the point with them. And the end result is I left on excellent terms, and now they are more than happy to pay me a very good day rate to go out and take care of jobs for them on a contract basis. & I still have my oil rig job. I just don't have to go to my next hitch until April the 16th. so really I got no complaints!Last edited by 93LXHORSE; 03-15-2015, 10:01 AM.

800 hours of PTO, gees."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
