My girlfriend got a little puppy for her 6 year old son about 4 months ago. Somehow the puppy has been stuck here at my house. I'm not a animal person at all but I've been trying to potty train him with no luck. I'm at work all day so don't have too much time for him. I'm so tired of cleaning up his mess every time I get home. My floors are jacked up due to his urine. I'm about to turn him into a outside dog real soon if I can't potty train him. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks...

I've put his noise in it and spanked him plenty of times. Tried kennel training him but he potty's in the kennel if left too long. Have puppy pads and sometimes he uses them and the rest of the times he doesn't. I monitor his food and water intake & take him outside after he eats and drinks to potty. But throughout the night or when I'm at work he will potty on the floors.

Put up the food/water. Help the puppy to associate food with potty time. Work with him in the yard and develop a command when he finally shits/piss, emphatically repeat a word that can be used later to get him to go, along with praise. Time, patience, consistency. Anger and physical abuse do more harm than good.
