His ESPY'S speech was a farewell. He knew his time was running out. I grew up watching him. He just brought a different presence than the clichéd old white guy. Damn shame.

I'm not usually that kind of guy but when I originally saw his speech at the ESPYs I teared up. I always looked forward to him on sportscenter and his style of reading the highlights.
