I don't do sushi, but I will definitely try that pizza place.

We order our pizzas with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and garlic. For me, it was those 2 places' sausage that so good. We always had our visitors eat one of those 2 and everybody raved about them. Another good pizza joint is Tony's in north beach/little Italy if you find yourself in the area and hungry.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I'm down for sushi, pizza, good seafood and a steakhouse. As long as we have those and Mexican food covered in recommendations, we'll be set. Thanks!

Thanks for all the recommendations! We will be in Napa for a night so any casual places that are a must to eat at would be great, too!
Tra Vigne in St. Helena is awesome! If you don't have all your wineries planned for the visit I highly suggest Jericho Canyon, Trespass, and Von Strausser. They are three of the best wines in the whole valley based on my last 3 visits over the last 3 years.

The suggestions for wineries helps a ton! We have no clue where to start. It's really overwhelming. If you have any other suggestions for them, please post up!

We would like some pinot noir and don't know how crucial it is to make reservations, etc...

Getting a reservation will help a ton! Start by calling those 3 and see if you can get in there. Most of the time, if you buy a bottle(s) of wine after the tasting they wave the tasting fee. If Pinot Noir is what your really interested in, then Napa is the wrong valley over all. Cabernet is king in Napa, most wineries in that area don't grow or make much PN given the value of the land with Cab on it.

A few other really good ones would be Frias Family Vineyards, Seavey vineyards, Rombauer Vineyards, Viadare (stunning views and wines here), and Del Dotto Caves is awesome as well.

Like slow99 said, stay away from the warf unless you are going to Boudin's or Alioto's, but I think Alioto's has changed since I lived there and there are far better places away from p39/FW.

As far as wineries, we really like V.Sattui.

I can't speak to the wine, but Castillo Di Amore is a "fun" winery/castle to tour. Given the chunk of change that we dropped on wine, my wife really enjoys it.

Go to Zazie or Gary Danko for dinner then Top of the Mark for cocktails. You can thank me later.

                    Make reservations early.

Chaya is a good sushi option.

Wineries just depend on what wine you like and where you're staying.

If you're in Napa, you must do lunch or brunch at Auberge du Soleil overlooking the valley.

Scoma's Seafood on the wharf is always good. Ask for Joe Scoma or Kenny they are both great waiters and will take good care of you

Leah or Chili, when are you planning on going to Napa? I'm a member at Jericho Canyon and didn't get to use my free tasting for 4 last year, I can call and ask if they can give it to you, PM me if you like.
