Anyone ever done genealogy research?

Im looking for a company or investigator who does genealogy stuff. Long story short we are looking for my dad's dad, who hes never met. We tracked it down pretty good using Ancestry.com but are looking to hire someone to finish the search off.

I see sometimes on those shows where they hire someone and they end up reuniting the family members. Just not sure who does that stuff or where to look. any ideas?

Yeah there are so many people on this board that are connected to so many different people. I assumed someone would know a good PI or company who could do the research for me

Ancestory should have some links on how to help track people down. Just be warned if they dont want to have contact its lost money
