I'm on here every day. I've been on here every day for over a decade. I will continue to be on here. I've been to meets, I've gone to parties, I've played golf, I've helped board members when possible.....I consider many of you my friends.
As I've sat back and observed all of the discussions about content and site death, one truth became obvious. Some of you need to grow the fuck up. We eat our young. That was true in 2004, and it's true now. Those that make it through the gauntlet typically add depth to our roster. Those that don't, go elsewhere. We are natural selection in all of its breathtaking glory.
The whole 'eat our young' mentality is lame. It might have existed in 2004, but it wasn't that way when I started reading in 2000 and signed up in 2001. This was much more of a community then, and we welcomed new people not just online but at various meets. Sure there has always been shit talking among friends, but the mentality to drive off new members didn't exist. If it did, this place would have never gotten off the ground.
The people that are voicing concerns are only doing so because they care about this place, and don't want to see it fade away. I think it's better to identify a problem and propose a solution rather than to just disappear like so many have already done.

My point is more about the need for newbs (which we all were, once) to remove the sand from their vag. Other members too. I don't care if Eric and Matt want to burn a thread to the ground. Let it happen, I'm sure that something golden will be mined out of it. And, new members that start a "look at me" thread are idiots that need to be flamed.
I have nothing against new blood, or fresh topics. Be smart about how either is presented though.Last edited by diablo rojo; 12-24-2014, 01:34 PM.
