Everywhere I look lately, people who claim to be having a tough time this Christmas and pouring out their sob stories and all their kids want iPhones or iPads or other expensive gifts. I know I shouldn't judge, but it sure urks me. Then there are people who go to WalMart after they were given gifts from a toy drive and returning all of it to get gift cards which who knows what they spend on.

I know, I know, I should give cheerfully and stop worrying about if the receiver is "worthy". I'm just tired of people's bullshit expecting everything given to them.

Im broke as fuck and my oldest son wanted one. I got him a $50 knock off and he thinks its an ipad. Horray for 6 year olds not knowing any better.

It is true about kids these days wanting wanting ipads, so they can play those games all day.

Even teens or preteens wanting an iPhone, its just gotten out of hand I think. If they don't have it, then they think they are not cool.

On the returns end they could be returned for things the family needs more. People like to give toys because theyre fun, but the kid or parent may be in dire need of a coat, or worse, food. I know people are gonna cheat the system and use the money for smokes or booze or whatever, but some just have needs that come before wants.

I remember a Christmas I got 1 toy and 1 set of pjs. And that because I was on an angel tree. The toy had to go back for a jacket for me. Not all people have bad intentions, just higher priorities.

LOL...Yeah my daughter asked me for an Iphone (7 years old) since she already has an I pad. When she said that I just turned around and said good luck with that one.

My Step boys have phones (older iphones) but their father got them for them. I dont believe in giving a kid a phone if they are 16 or younger.
