SKYWARN Storm Spotter training schedule

I've gotten a few questions on here regarding storm chasing and the spotter classes. The National Weather Service just released the 2015 schedule with classes starting about a month from now. The classes are free, dont take a lot of time and are pretty interesting! You'll go over some weather basics, how to report, how to spot, etc. Here is the link to the site

How do you think people get chosen for that job?

I got my certification through https://www.meted.ucar.edu/ but I've done the skywarn class as well. Both are free and well worth it!
