My girlfriend got me a WeWood watch a couple of years ago. Seriously, a $50 watch made out of wood, and you would not believe how much attention that stupid thing draws and how many compliments it gets. People love it. At least that's what they tell me lmao. When the government pays, the government controls.

I have a Rolex sitting in a safety deposit box that I won't wear (it's a 30-40k dollar watch), I have an old Tag that needs the internals replaced, and I've had a handful of other "high end" watches. If I scratch or break a Folex, I don't care, or feel near as bad as when I'd scratch/ding one of my nice watches.
I've been wearing this "cheap" Luminox lately and it's gotten more comments than any of the high end watches I've worn.

I will say that I have NEVER had anyone say a word to me when I was wearing a Rolex. I do get compliments on my other watches all the time.

Your comparison is not even close, you realize that right?

And before anyone starts with the whole "Well, I have..." Just because you have one, doesn't necessarily mean you can afford one.
Like I said earlier, I've had both. I just utilized them for different purposes. Honestly, I think I've had more compliments wearing an Omega Seamaster than the Rolex Yachtmaster.
