I wonder what the crate motor will go for, sure would look purdy in a Shelby Cobra kit car.

Let me resay what I said.. I read the new GT500 is in the works. I have zero interest in a gt350. Tt 5.0 making 740 hp, yes, have more interest in that...

I've heard the same. Also read a quote from a Form big wig that hinted the hellcat wasn't going to be a issue long.

They are for totally different markets, one for the drag strip, and the other for the road course. I'd have to think that the N/A torque of the GT350 will be fin in a DD, if highway racing is your thing though, get the GT500.

I agree with this. There is a limit to the amount of usable power in a car that can not only go in a straight line, but also carve corners too... A lot of that has to do with the design of the car/suspension.

I have a Stang in the garage that will likely out handle a gt350 if I need to go around turns, there aren't any turns in TX lol

I have thought about this a little myself... If I can get all the little things finished up on my notch, I wonder how close I could be around like MSRC to a GT350 (assuming equal tires).

Both cars would have an IRS, good suspension and brakes, and while I'd be way down on power and RPM (but I do have TFS heads on the work bench to install), my notch is lighter and has much stiffer aftermarket suspension.
