    You really are a fucking idiot.

    You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

        Any consumer product insurance is a rip off. If you can't afford to replace it than you should be using the free flip phone. In 13 years of having a cell phone I've lost 1 and broken 1 screen, so I figure I have come out ahead without insurance.

          Went ahead and just declined insurance on the phones and will be stashing away a few bucks a month instead. Will also be getting some otter boxes come 'cyber Monday' unless there are any other amazingly resilient cases someone can recommend...

            I can't stand how bulky an otter box makes my phone, but they do a good job of protecting, lifeproof also makes a good one. Yesterday a friend of mine was showing me a new screen protector he got on his 6 that is actually made of glass and supposedly breaks instead of the screen on a normal drop, looked pretty cool.

              I use the magpul case, like it way more than my old otterbox.

                I had a Lifeproof when I had an iPhone 4S, but it was annoying because I could never hear it ring. I took it out and dropped my phone within a week.

                  Are you really that dense? I never said I "have to have a $600 phone" I like to have them though. And I also NEVER said that I could not afford to replace it. What "I can't figure which is funniest," is that you cant find the value in paying $8 month for 2 years ($192 total) to be protected against damaging something that is about as fragile as fine china or paying $600+ out of pocket for one slip of the hand. Btw, I found your wallet...

                    dude, he's a boss player who pays cash for vacations and shit, man!!!!

                    us peasants got nothin' on him!

                    I don't put my phones in cases because I don't like them. I pay insurance on them out of habit and every once in a while I utilize it.

                    Last time I utilized it, I needed a smart phone that same day because I make my living with my phone, so while at the Verizon store, I bought the then-new Note 2 at full retail (TDD would be proud to know I paid in cash)

                    and on that note, I need a nice phone to make a living... we're not in the covered wagon days. a good phone is a good productivity tool (if you don't sit and play candy crush all day), so for somebody who can't shit $600 for a new phone every week, it's not a bad idea to hedge and pay insurance just in case.

                    I'm sure TDD doesn't carry comprehensive coverage on his vehicles either, because he obviously paid cash for them and can afford to replace them

                      Richard, by that logic you shouldn't own a home that you can't replace instantly if it burns down, or a team contractually paying an elite football player who might need ACL surgery or have a child that may develop leukemia at age 11. I see no reason to belittle someone for considering insuring a valuable commodity/asset/tool/property if the insurance terms are agreeable for the owner.

                          There is a big difference between a multi $$$ house / car and a phone. If you can't see the different, sorry I don't wish to explain it.

                            what's the different?

                            phone = $

                            house and car = $$$?

                            do you insure items at the $$ level as well or do you just flip a ยข?
