Are ya lazy? If not, what I've been doing is watching CL for free wood. Just go to where it is, cut, load bring home and split.

What ya got? Oak? Oak is primarily what I'm after right now since I like it for smoking/cooking food. Currently have a bit of excess cedar/other firewood.

Once you cut it, haul it, cut it some more and split it though - you don't just give it away.

It's mostly oak and it's just stuff that I picked up for free and never got around to dealing with after my chainsaw decided to take a shit. Not sure what kind of shape it's in but I can check when I get to the house.

There are trees, but its a state park. I follow all the rules.

If i had time, i would go gather my own, cut and stack ... but i dont.

there are some woods that you can burn in a fireplace that dont put out a bunch of tar and such in the smoke that will collect on the inside, and could catch on fire. You would not want to burn cedar, for example, in a home fireplace, but it wouldnt matter in a camp fire.

Damn, i bought half a cord this spring and haven't made it through much at all. But we only throw 2-3 logs in the fire pit at a time.
