Bundled up the family unit, grabbed some things to try and sled and headed to the park yesterday. A park near us becomes very popular when it snows, but it usually doesn't work all that well. Yesterday was great! The snow had gotten packed down plus the ice underneath made a great surface. We shoved the kids down the hill in laundry baskets, my wife and I took turns with a piece if paneling slick side down that worked great. A lady let us try her real sleds and we were hooked. I am definately building a sled this year.
Saw some kids with a new oil drip pan, the bigs ones that worked good. I think the best thing I have seen yet is one of those black plastic grooved lids from a dumpster.
Anyone else doing something besides whining about the weather?
