That first car DJ posted, the Greenish hatch is decent. Get rid of the dumbass shifter and put a stock hood on it and go. Don't forget that the New Edge cars are getting old. They are a lot more expensive to fix when they break than a foxbody. Do not rush. Tell the insurance company you're going to need at least another week with the rental to find a car. Strong arm them if you need to, the car is in your possession anyway.

Actually starting to look at early 2000's New Edge GTs. A lot more available in the price range, and some are in pretty good shape.

Basically. "Clean" being a relative term, just meaning not destroyed. She's probably been looking at a range more like $4500 - $5000 assuming some negotiating can be done.

Maybe $4k - $4.5k is what we would like to spend, but preferably on the lower end. We would like to have a little left over to cover sales tax, get the GPS tracker moved over, and any little issues that need to be fixed.

Oh, and edited my last post..

The problem with Fox's is that we are in more of a hurry now than the last time around, and to get the right car, in the condition we would want, and for the budget will probably take some time. Unless we just get lucky. Still bummed that we got beat to the punch on the green one Whiteboy had. That really would have been perfect.

Looks like a bit of a drive, but a hell of a good start.

    Fixed.

The good news is that the parts are cheap for XJ's as long as nothing structural is bent. My ex totaled the jeep that replaced the one in the pic and I fixed it for $800 in parts. The one in the pic was all kinds of bent and couldn't be saved.

What did you want her to do? I wouldn't expect much to get done this week with Thanksgiving.

    Dang!
