I feel ya about the smoke, as a non-smoker going to a bar that is smoked filled is disgusting. I won't even go to a restaurant that is smoke friendly, that's even worse, trying to eat and having smoke everywhere, YAK!

Though, it used to be that all places were like this back in the day, so I guess we would just get used to it once we were there. But I know now it seems to be the very noticeable and like you mentioned, my eyes start getting irritated, my sinuses get all clogged up and its hard to have a good time. And when you get home you want to just throw away the clothes you were wearing...

They flat out refused to fix the place, the temp controls were all over the map, ac barely working if at all, and without ventilation the place was like a piece of tupperware that was getting more and more smoke blown into it every second. It was fucking disgusting. Even after a shower I could still smell it on my skin for a day.

The management there is fairly receptive to us. It's hard to book 1/4 of a busy bar on a Saturday night without some kind of guaranteed income. It's also fairly conveniently located for most folks and they have plenty of parking.

The negatives though are smoke, temperature and no hotels anywhere nearby. That and the surrounding neighborhood is going downhill fast. The first two seem to be a problem with many of their locations.

Meh, it's pretty central to a lot of us in the Arlington/Mid-Cities area. That's really the only thing it ever had going for it. Hell, they sent me an email for a free dinner any time during my birthday month, and my cheap ass didn't even go take advantage of it.
