Any of you dames wear anything similar to LJ's to keep warm? Is there anything else? I wear scrubs to work and I ride the train and lately, its been a little nippy so I've been searching online for something I could wear under my my scrubs. Does compression type clothing keep you warm or retain heat? HasbrownBabyitscoldoutside.

Don't like them. I'm more comfortable in some decent socks and hike them to my knees. Seems to work without tight, funny looking underwear that requires shedding with activity.Comment

Plain ol' thermals work great for me top and bottom when I am camping in the cold weather. I slept out under the stars Friday night wearing only that and some wool socks, with a sleeping bag that I didn't even keep zipped up. I was plenty warm.Comment

If it's going to be frigidly cold all day or I'm not going to be moving around much I don the long johns. Otherwise I wear some big'ole carhartt overalls so I can take them off once I start getting a move on as the long johns become too warm for me.Comment
