In response to it being slow, I went out and searched again for an official 0-60.

Those print publications who were the first to sample the 2015 Ford Mustang GT have published their results and while the figures that we are seeing across the internet vary by source, the quickest reported times thus far come from Motor Trend, where they hit 60 in just 4.4 seconds en route to a 12.8 quarter mile – making the 2015 model slower than a similarly equipped 2014 model.

While we are certain to see better stock numbers once the 2015 Ford Mustang GT reaches the hands of owners who have a chance to get plenty of seat time in the new pony car, these first published numbers serve as a great benchmark of the 2015 Mustang performance levels. However, the first reports from some sources might not be the glowing numbers that some Mustang fans were expecting, as the reported figures from some sources are actually slower than the previous generation Mustang GT.

Lol it seems like its a trend that the new platforms are usually out performed by the previous platform after it had been tuned by years of production tweaks.

If you really want one of these cars just wait six months. The hoopla will be died down and interest rates will be up and car sales will be fucking dead.

I got to drive an ecoboost today... This car is solid, 3 steering settings, 4 stability/traction settings. A fun interior, made me feel like the first time I got in my 65 t bird, time will tell how well it lasts but all the gadgets have a lot of thought. Front seats are power with the normal odd to figure out seat back controls/ levers, seemed like nice leather that really hold you for what the car is. The back seat is beautiful, nicely stitched and well thought out. Well until you notice that a 5'8" man puts the front seats back to where the rear seat is unusable, but that is most mustangs. Sitting back there is also the same feel, super cool! But in reality, my 5'8" ass was buried in the seat and head was on the glass. So Ford nailed the classic Mustang back seat and added style. All in all I really love the interior, the one piece dash trim seals it.

The build of this car is state of the art, so many different new things have been pulled into the car. From the roof lines for strength to bolt in core support. This thing is evolved, no major platform dress up. The gap tolerance and panel fitment is above any other platform I have seen, It is not show quality, but similar to German standards. It does seem the cars will have first year body issues just like the 05, this particular one had had the fenders adjusted due to broken paint on the bolts and less than fully removed wax pencil on the windshield stating corrections needing to be made. I didn't see this as a bad thing, just growing pains on a great car. The wheels suck, end of story.

So I drove it with stiff steering and race mode, nothing spectacular, just down an access road and through my parking lot. Sad thing is this car, that I know will be a pile of shit in a few years, handled better than any of my few mildy modded 5.0's (2 Fox and 1 SN95) I have owned, The car out everything's them. Tight structure, less roll, more power. I would daily this low level car and really enjoy it. I bet a programmer and good wheel tire combo this car could be damned fun back and forth to work.

All and all I have converted, I hated this car when I first started seeing it, I still dislike the front end, but base front ends have never been my favorite. They might have hit a home run this time and I feel it is the new deal. To make me say I would drive a regenerated SVO as a daily sounds insane. I would turn down an older German high end car for this currently and that also sound less than logical to me.

I'm agreeing with you in more than 1-way. Turns out that the 2011 BMW I bought for my wife this past summer didn't work out so well (very long story), but after that fiasco I told her to pick out another Ford she'd like to have as a daily b/c I'm not buying another foreign car.

I was a little surprised by her choice....We brought this home....

It's an EcoBoost Premium with the performance package...has pretty much every option available. Magnetic is the new grey, and I like it a lot. I'm not a fan of black wheels, but she had to have them and they are part of the performance package anyway. I really like the Guard (sp?) color myself, but it's her car so she got to pick....still a good looking combo IMO, and I'm surprised it actually doesn't sit like a total 4x4 in stock form....although the performance package has different springs too....I think that makes a little difference.

After driving a 13' for a year and a half I can already say that this interior is a huge improvement. I loved my 13', and there wasn't anything that I disliked about it...just saying that this new car is an even bigger improvement from what I can see so far.

I'll post some more pictures soon...this is just all I have on my phone right now.

                    Nice car.
I have already built one for my wife as well. Except I'm not going all out. I'm just ordering it with a '2015 EB in Auto, Performance Package, BUP sensors and Interior lighting group in White.

Yes sir, I went back to GVF and had a great experience dealing directly with Tony. I'm hearing that there really aren't any discounts to be had on these yet, but it was no BS up front and I paid well less than sticker...they rolled out the VIP treatment all the way around. The finance office was even a breeze...I only had to say no to an extended warranty 1 time and they respected my wishes....signed the papers and we were out the door.

That's good to hear that he's taking care of people after the way everything went down previously.
