im waiting for the GT350 announcement this week or next week. Looks like next year i will finally be trying to get a new car. That is if those assholes keep the price in the mid-to-high 40s.
Ryan, the 50th anniversary Mustang stickers over $48k. It's a premium GT with white seats, whooptie fuckin doo. The GT350 will almost certainly sticker in the mid-to-high 50s, and factor in a dealer markup.
When the government pays, the government controls.

The one Grapevine was selling with that price was pretty much loaded with every single option. A low option car should still be in the low 30's. Which is pretty high for no options, but it's still not 45k for a Mustang GT high.
The base model 04 GT sticker was like $21k when I bought mine (GT appearance, V8, but otherwise stripped). In all fairness, my premium GT did not have every option available. The three things available that I did not get were: ABS, Traction Control and the Mach1000 (or whatever) stereo. Which was fine by me, as the ABS and Traction control would have been disabled with my tuner anyways. I did have the Mach 460, which only differed in that it didn't have the Sub. With all available options I believe the 04 GT Coupe stickered at like $28k-$29k.
There was a base 2015 GT (cloth seats, etc) at GVF in Race Red with the Performance Package (strut tower brace, k-member brace, larger radiator, 3.73s, Torsen differential, 6-piston Brembos up front, 19x9 wheels, better gauges) that stickered for $35k.
I was honestly tempted.
I love that they have so many more options available like that now. Back then there were only a few options above a base GT. The ones I mentioned above, plus leather seats, wheels, and a couple of minor things.
On a GT I do not recall any options available like the ones you mention (strut tower brace, k-member brace, larger radiator, 3.73s, Torsen differential, 6-piston Brembos up front, 19x9 wheels, better gauges). Your only option on that kind of stuff was to go aftermarket. $35k actually sounds reasonable for all of that stuff (though if paying $35k for a car, I do feel it should have leather seats. )
I built a '15 EB and it started at $26,365.00, I added the EB perfomance pkg. ($1995.00), reverse park assist ($295.00) and Interior Light kit ($249.00) total MSRP was $29,729.00. This is a stripped down model with the cloth buckets and Auto trans. If go order now, I can get about $2k off, bringing the total to about $27k, but if I wait til next year I could get about 4k off.

I got the V and ZR1 still. They've all been great cars. I do like the new Mustangs quite a bit and can't wait for the performance versions to come out. Been hearing some pretty wild stuff about possible 8,000rpm, etc.

That exhaust noise pumped into the car would drive me insane. You should have an option to delete that stupid thing , and get $250 back!
Plus, just get a GT and throw a bigger turbo on it. Or, do like VW and use an electric turbo. Instant spooling, no lag time at all.
