Ariat roughstock. Love these boots. Approaching a little over a year old. They are super comfy and look awesome. Not too terribly expensive either. They are western style due to the riding heel. I wear I size 12 in shoes. These are 11B.

My suggestion would be to find a pair under $200 just to see if you'll like the feel. I can't seem to get use to the shank and they all have a hard sole so start cheap before investing $400+ on boots.
What size? I'll buy them if they are 11s

My Ariats are very comfortable. I've got about 8 different boot manufacturers in the closet..... What's crazy is my most comfortable boot I wore in the oilfield were my Doc Martin Industrials.... They were as comfy as my Nikes.....

When shopping for dress boots, leather sole is made in America and rubber (not the foam known as crepe sole) is made in China. There are exceptions. ALL Double H are American made and ALL Ariats are made in CHINA. That will cover the majority of your quality dress boots.

I wore a pair of those for 4 years. Great boot and still one of the #1 selling Ariat styles

I bought a pair in 06 and they are still the best damn pair of boots. I never imagined walking on a hard sole would work out so well. When they wear down I just have them re-soled

A lot of that is the ariat insole. Most other boots just have a liner. Basically outer leather sole, thin layer of padding, and a leather inner sole that is glued down to cover the nails and brass pins. They rely on the leather molding to the foot for comfort.

I like buying my boots when I'm wearing a boot sock and have been on my feet all day so they are a bit swollen and sore. That way I know the boot is going to fit at my worst and not kill my feet after a long day.

I love my cayman lucchese boots, spent about 800 on them. I've worn them 10 times and still getting them broken in. But everytime I wear them they get better.

One of the best/most comfortable pairs of boots I own are Rockys. They are a tall boot, snip toe, with a hybrid sole, leather with a rubber pad and a rubber/wood heel. I can wear them all day and night and never have sore feet.

I don't think they make anything like them anymore.

I have some US made Justin elephants I like, and a pair of Redwing steel toe waterproof that I wear when I need a workboot, go hunting, etc.

Common misconception they are, in most cases, stacked leather with a rubber heel cap

There is a great out door market in Fort worth area that has many boots. Trading Villiage.
