What pissed me off were the number of judgeships that were dems running unopposed. It was most of the back page of the ballot.

I don't know what ballot you had, but the one I had were all Republicans running unopposed.

Admittedly, I only gave it a passing glance. I voted the races I knew and straight libertarian for the rest where available.

Good to know it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Dallas county, you know the other one that Davis won. JWP still has lots of influence there.

The problem we'll see this go around is that the GOP is placing an inept jerkoff that nearly lost at the helm of the Senate.

I believe that also puts Cornyn at number 2 in the Senate.

McConnell will be hard pressed to be any worse than Harry Reid has been.

              Cornhole on the other hand...

                Bingo.

Politics in this country are in sad, sad shape.

I'm putting my name and my stamp of approval on someone else and what they stand for. I have yet to be exposed to a candidate that is worthy or even motivates me to choose them over the others. Therefore, I don't vote. Heck, I think it's a tragedy that the vast majority of voters are just voting blindly, whether it be because of race, religion, influence of their peers, or a popularity contest. Same goes for voting for one party all the way down. And a lot of those people only get out and vote because there is such a push for them to do so. I definitely don't think Americans should be stripped of their right to vote, but in my opinion, this whole push to "exercise your right" is irresponsible and dangerous.

Deep down, I wish only the truly inspired/informed/responsible folks voted.

I think we'll see different versions of McConnell and Cornyn now. It's really pointless to try and do anything when it's automatically shut down every time by Harry Reid. Now they pick the committee members, they decide on what bills go to the floor and Cornyn can actually try to whip enough votes to overide a veto.

If nothing else Obama's pen is going to be very busy vetoing legislation, hopefully busy enough he'll slow down the executive orders.

They need to bury obozo in bills.
