Inventory is low, demand is high. They don't want to rack up a bunch of miles on the few cars they have with test drives. They'll loosen up on the drives as they start getting more cars on the lot.

The back seat in a Mustang is functionally useless, as it has been for 50 fucking years. It's okay to toss a kid back there or a backpack, but putting a six-foot person back there is just not going to happen. Can I interest you in a Taurus?

Prices are high, yeah. I keep hearing everyone talk about the elusive $40k C6 Z06, but the only ones in that price range are salvage title or have 70k miles. If you're okay with that, I'd get the Vette.

Pre-approved from my credit union. I always let them know that and give the name and contact person. Look like you have bad credit.......please enlighten me on that one. You ever heard of Sam Walton? He was a no frills guy with an old beat up truck and had more money than anyone else you may ever meet.

i wear dickies and t-shirts, i wasnt being an asshole. i do alright, and have good credit, if i cant test drive the vehicle i want i'll go down the street a 1/4 to one of the million other dealers that do in fact want to sell me a car.

Sales people making assumptions is stupid, but so is carrying $7k cash into a dealership.

I went to buy a Baja boat and had $25K with me. Salesman was basically the same way, said I didn't look like I could afford a boat. Turns out it was probably a good thing, never had owned a boat and just "wanted one", but ended up buying a nice jet ski instead.
