A little help for an Iraq War Vet.

My good friend just dropped a line to me about trying to get a little help for his son... His letter is self-explanatory..

You have the contacts on the Mustang site . This is the unit Dan was with in Iraq and he use
to wear a hoodie with Baker Company emblazoned on the back and a small 1 /7 logo on the
front. When they broke into his truck in Catoosa , they made off with his bug-out-bag , trama kit
and his OD green hoodie. He was and is, still pissed about it. Do you think you could run this past
the Mustang site guys to see if they have a source ? I have tried all the usual sources , tried the
PAO's office at 29 Palms and even the Chaplin's Office...no joy. Money is not an issue , it's strictly
the principle. All I need to know the how much and where part

Things like that are usually ordered locally by command. Here is the profile for their battalion Sgt Major, you can get his contact info from it.

Other than that you can call the base and try to get to the unit but if you don't know someone actually in it good luck. Public affairs and chaplains aren't going to be much help.

OPSEC and PERSEC are very serious, they definitely don't want anyone off the street to be able to buy unit specific insignia.

Or I guess this would be even easier. Write a letter or call the duty officer for help.
