  • How much do you insure your home for?

Looking to get coverage for a home we are purchasing and agents are all over the place on coverage for price per square foot to rebuild in case of total loss. How much coverage do you have on your home per sq foot?

Had to use a calculator looks like 123.45 per sq ft.

      I'm right at $110/sqft...
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

        Just the "dwelling" = $108.90 / sqft

"Dwelling" and "personal property" = $173.25 / sqft

Just take how much you want after you burn it down and divide by the dwelling area.

Let me know who you end up going with, don't use the local Texas Farm Bureau unless you want to get dicked around. If I could find this agent's bosses boss I'd be blowing up his phone.
