Yeah I'll be moving down to that area, I believe. Maybe Katy or Rosenberg... I am gonna try and steer clear of Houston traffic as much as I can...

yes traffic sucks, it all depends on what side of town you are on.

I live in Baytown and have about a 17 mile commute, but it's just from Baytown to Deer Park and there is seldom ever traffic on my commute. Now if I needed to leave Baytown and head towards channelview or Houston around 5pm, forget it. I-10 gets backed up where spur 330 merges on.

                • I lived in Seabrook and Clear Lake down there in the early 90's. Besides my car always getting broken into, it was a decent area.

                  • traffic sucks, but if you're outside the belt and don't have to go inside the belt, it's a non-issue for the most part

so if you're going to be working in the Katy/Rosenberg area and get a place out that way, traffic isn't going to be any big deal

glad you got the job man, we'll have to get together and kill a couple pitchers of ice tea

I led a team to Seabrook that went down and rebuilt one of our stores that was destroyed by Hurricane Ike a few years back. Aside from the storm wreckage it seemed like a nice little town. Oh, and the hit and run I witnessed in front of the store. lol There was a badass little sandwich shop that I can't remember the name of that had a "Bald Tuesday." If you went in on Tuesday and were bald or receding they gave you a discount! LOL I think the name might have been Neptune's.

                      • Congrats on getting your life back together and on the ability to go through the interview wringer. Personally, the thought of having to go through a process like that makes my stomach churn. Good job.

                              • Well I am a lame duck. I gave my notice last week. Then the president and my boss had a meeting with me and offered me more money to stay with them, but I stuck firm with my decision. Nothing going on in the field this week so I'm just chilling out at home getting paid!
