I do understand the canned answers bothering him though. I've done a few campus and off site inreviews when I was with halliburton, and it does get old. You have to realize that every person gets the same advice from recruiters and career counselors. For this reason, most answers are the exact same so there is little differentiation. It doesn't sound like your interview was bad...but I just wanted to point out to others that if you take the interview advice of a recruiter...take it very loosely and let your enthusiasm and personality come through.

Campus interviews were the worst, it was like talking to the same person 10-50 times...with 4 or 5 genuine people mixed in.
