Doh! I was checking it out today and didn't think to ask since you said "Sunday". Dunno if we met, but I was the guy in the Tiger cap and my wife was wearing the Fort Worth Fire cap.

I do recall the FD hat. To be honest, I met so many people that it all blurs.

We won't be back out there tomorrow after all. Seems that it was noticed by Those Who Make Decisions that the new engine and Squad 2 got all the attention, and the Dive got very little attention.

Nice to meet you. I was the guy that commented on your hat on Saturday. AJ was already gone when y'all came by (we relieved them around 1330). Your wife's hat was the FWFD hockey hat, right?

I got to stand on the air bosses trailer for part of the Thunderbird performance. It turns out that I know his son, who also helps run the show. #5 lost rudder control, which is why the show was delayed. It was pretty funny how the rest of the crew kind of shamed the two guys assigned to it.

It's also funny how the Army is hard core against exposed tattoos but it seemed like every member of the ground crew had at least one sleeve.

Their flight surgeon (#9) is a TCU and UNT Grad and #3 is a female and used to fly at Sheppard (Wichita Falls).

Shit I thought I was the only one that thought that! For me I was gone after Manfred and his fucking silent glider...............seriously? We walked to the car after that and waited for the T-birds. Set up chairs in the middle of the median leading into the airport, dam good seats and no-one around.

Talked to the Mi-24 crew, they were going to fly(demo) but the airshow refused to pay for the fuel at the last minute. They said this happened to several aircraft owners. Some elected to put on a show anyways.

30 to park.............4 dollar water.............lame performances.........(T-Birds were awesome) I wont be back for a long time. It seemed that they had more kids amusement set-ups than aircraft.

Mike and I set the tone when we were leaving.
                      You guys sealed the deal.

BTW.............I saw about 1/2 way through the Thunderbirds routine, it looked like a big pause(knock it off was called) and a solo bird landed with an escort? Anyone else see this? The announcer did not say a word.

#5 had some issues with it's rudder which happened when it was supposed to be doing the 3 mile vertical climb. It kind of veered to the right at around 10k feet which is when they stopped the show. It landed without any problems since an F-16 doesn't really need a rudder to fly normally but as you can imagine it's pretty important when flying in a formation.

Jeremy and I set the tone with Flenniken when we got there. Then, Chief Greif showed up to one of our Psych calls that night. When we got back to the station Flenniken called us and then called y'all.

I'm sure we'll be back next year.

Also the city provided free water if you had your own container. There were a couple of water trucks in the static display area. They've been there for every show I've attended at Alliance. Sure you have to buy the first bottle or have your own but it's free refills.

                                Air Show Sunday....

Too much fucking down time. Once I've seen one parachutist I've seen them all. I want loud ass jets, dangerous manuvers, and lots of what america is about. And agree at the lack of planes on display. I'll just sit on the highway next time at 3:00.
