I swear I cannot wait until 2015, been the toughest year yet so far. So I started my new job Monday, flew to Louisville KY last night to see a customer. Had dinner, had a drink and went to the hotel. Got up around midnight to take a piss and had an excruciating headache. I figured it was the whiskey and attempted to go piss. I started to get up and almost fell down, went to one knee and eased my way to the pisser, threw up and back to bed. Blew it off as a strong drink. Got up about 6am and head is spinning like a top, I can't get anything to stay still, I try and get up and I can't walk. I scooted to the toilet and after five minutes sat on the crapper and puked again. Took everything to shower and get dressed. Everytime I moved my head was like it was spinning, couldn't keep my balance to walk.
Got so bad downstairs at breakfast I called a cab to go to a local urgent care clinic. Doctor there said signs of a mild stroke and sent me to er. Er doc ordered CT scan, ekg, and some other tests then the nurse tells me it's severe vertigo. First I've ever heard of that. I literally cannot walk without holding something or someone and my head is spinning like a top. They admitted me a few hours ago and waiting to have an echo done, a stress test and two other tests, then it's off to see the neurologist on the 8th floor.
Has anyone had vertigo? How long did it last? They told me it could be a day, a week, or a few months. This sucks, you literally cannot move without help and your head is continously spinning.....
