First you gotta finish your GED!

I never went to the university when I was taking online classes. However I did not attend UNT, hopefully someone chimes in that does, but I'm pretty sure if you're strictly taking online classes, you don't have a reason to go to campus.

Call them. They'll get you on the right track. I have a friend that's faculty up there. I can see if she'd help you, if you like.

Just talk to the registrar, they'll set you up. I took a lot of online classes when i was in school, and the correspondence stuff is largely easier in a lot of ways than in-seat classes.

UNT has some good programs, Paul; I've been looking at them off and on for a few years. Do you already have any credit hours? If not, I would advise going to a community college and getting the basics knocked out. It will be significantly cheaper and won't diminish the quality of whatever Bachelors you go for once you transfer. I know Rach just finished a Masters there and I think it is where Leah is pursuing her second Masters also.

If you don't plan on ever getting a formal degree there are thousands of free online classes you can take.

                Like Eric said -

Community college first, get 60 hours knocked out and get your associates.
Transfer credit hours to to a 4 year and just knock out your major study hours/classes

Far cheaper to go that route, English 101 is English 101 no matter where you go.

Some require you to go in for exams or just the final. Most you don't go in at all and they might use a lockdown browser. I'm currently at UNT, graduate in May.

I'm working on my masters at ASU. You never actually have to go to the university itself until graduation if you want to walk with your class. Otherwise, you never have to enter the campus.

I did my last 30 hours at UNT and only had one actual class I had to show up for every monday night (Lab Class).

If I ever go back for my MBA I've found a few good universities (UNT) included that offer "distance learning" programs.

I exhausted my online hours at UNT in 2 semesters. I'm sure they have added more, but I would look to a community college first. If you have no credits at all, you can attend a CC for 10-20% of the cost, then transfer them in.

Plus the grading will be a little more friendly.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
