I don't think there is a car guy on the planet that doesn't dig the CTSV. I would love to have an 09+ model and have caught myself looking at every generation multiple times. As mentioned, the first couple of years had the possible diff issue, but they should pretty much all have been replaced at this point. The factory wasn't even arguing with owners for beating on the car back when it was first going on, they pretty much knew it was a weak point and replaced them no questions asked. I would sell my soul for a brand new black wagon version.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

04-05 rear ends are junk. Old ladies broke them driving to the grocery store. They went through 3 revisions with the last being produced in 2008 after the car stopped production. If that's been updated, they are solid cars. You can Google image search the different versions - it's easy to check without a lift.

The only dealerships that will sell the first gen are specialty used dealers - Texas Hot Rides or something similar.

Same, but if anyone wants to buy a new one, I've got a buddy that sells them and has some of the last remaining.

if you buy an 09 up, especially one that is out of warranty, make sure the blower has been replaced. They recalled them twice (otherwise it wouldn't be a GM). My 2011 is on blower number 3.

Just took this one. Get you a wagon with the jackass parking option.

I have a '12 V auto sedan and it's the best overall car I've owned. Comfy and relatively quiet when you want it to be and pissed off/fast/angry when you want it to be. Ride/handling balance is incredible with the mag suspension, they recalibrated the auto for '12 and it bangs off shifts or shifts smooth depending on what mode you're in, A/C seats and all the other interior creature comforts. Oh, 493rwhp with just an Airaid intake on a local dynojet dyno as well. It moves out nicely and sounds good doing it.

It really is just a great car to drive. Whichever team engineered this car just really dialed everything in very nicely.

There's a white V wagon in my parking garage in Las Colinas almost every day when I get here for work. Super sweeeeeeet. Do want.

If I wasn't such a broke-dick I would love to have a V wagon. Alas, daily driving old junkers it is for me....
