Thieves broke into my car and took my daughters Dora backpack once. I learned after that to not leave any visible bags/electronics in my car regardless of my location. Look for it on craigslist and get a few of us to carry out a sting. This site has amazingly found lots of stolen stuff for other members through the years.Comment

That's what their doing now a days... walking the rows looking for people who leave their electronics, purses, cash, etc (radar ddetectors and I pods aren't high on that list at all...). They first jiggle the door (yes, not only do people leave shit in plain view, they also don't lock it.) And if locked, they smash n grab. Quick, pretty quiet, and gone. My last city was quite uppity and the crap people LEAVE in their car when they go to the gym... astounding... bank business money bags, huge coach purses with the woman's entire life inside, laptops and tablets, GUNS!
