Seriously, questions like that need to be asked face to face. I bet most of the "intellectual" conversations would be a lot shorter.
To be fair, I only did it because I was curious what the math looked like. That shit is simple, once you have the ID of the pipe.

Right. I'd love to talk with some of these people away from computers. You showing how the formula was just easily googled, then plug-n-played reminded me of the thought.

Personally, I wouldn't be as long-winded as I am as I like to think about exactly how I'm going to word something, and I won't be able to quickly rattle off statistics, I can summarize them though. Lol

              • Ya, but staying in a conversation vs. drooling and deflecting are pretty big differences.

hehe, my appologies, again i am not used to seeing so many tracks as here in the states, so i try to identify mine by colors. i do gues the milage is not as important. lol.

oh. i just divided the flow rate by the cross-sectional area of a 3" diameter cylinder. basic maths, no physics.

Right, however, a 3" pipe isn't exactly 3" in diameter.

                            • I meant for 3" to be the inner diameter. I'm coming up with 54.4 FPM

edited-was using 10GPM, 20GPM was the flowrate in the question.
