What part of town you in? Definitely cooling off nicely at night now. My favorite time of year. The "low electric bill" time lol

Apparently 163,000 people without power. That power line is still down in my neighbors backyard.

Put your tongue on it. It'll feel funny, like a 9 volt battery, but different.

It's irritating, but no big deal. Do any of you have any sort of backup power source or generator for you house? I would love to put solar panels up but I don't think it would be cost effective.

I have a little honda generator I was given because it wouldn't run several years ago. We didn't lose power in this storm but we did in the ice storm and it was awesome. I've used it to power: fans, heaters, and the fridge. Just need to start it every once in a while and let it run since it's not needed often.

Mom and Dad have solar and a back up generator but they live in the sticks and lose power pretty often if the weather is bad or not. They don't have a whole house genny but It keeps the deep freeze, fridge, and some lights going.

I've just got a generator that I mainly use for tire warmers at track days, but if the power is out for too long I run a few essentials with it.

Lines in my neighborhood are overhead, and nobody trims their shit. So pretty much every time a storm rolls through, we lose power. I've been without power for a week and a half on more than one occasion. It sucks. But we didn't lose it this time, for some odd reason.

I bought a generator a while back, but it needs a battery before I can figure out if it runs or not. Will likely need a carb cleaning.
