  • Buzzwords in business setting

I know we have all heard the normal list (feel free to add):
    *Circle back
    *table that discussion
    *Kaizen
    *lean six sigma

One my boss got into the vernacular here as a joke and it took off, is "dollarize". as in, "lets dollarize that project"

So I saw this thread on another message board and came across "Solutioneering". It is my goal to get this into our vernacular in the next 3 months.

What drives you nuts at your work?

      *Excellent*
      Mark 10:42 AM
he did a double take and said "is that a new word?" and i ignored him and continued with the conversation.

Since pretty much everything outside of our dept at work is a fucking train wreck right now and no one has the balls/pull to get things fixed, our new buzz phrase for the past few months is "control the controllables". Just typing it makes me want to punch babies.

Anything "cloud", hearing people that can barely turn on their iPhone say: "we are transitioning to cloud computing", "migration to analytics", etc. etc.

"Megatrends" - people love that one these days.

I'm glad I no longer work in an office environment where I have to deal with bullshit buzzwords.

At my last gig, I told my CEO to "quit making up words and speak English" while he was inserting his freshly googled buzzwords.
