I work about 4 miles south of IAH. A few times a week I get to watch an A380 departure at 430pm while pulling out of the parking lot. That shit is damn impressive.

Even in our conference rooms we have a good view of southbound takeoffs and the visual difference between an MD80 or 737 or even 777 to the A380 is crazy.

Starting Monday, the Airbus A380 — the largest passenger jet in the world — will begin scheduled service at DFW. Australia’s Qantas Airways will fly the A380 between DFW and Sydney. Dubai’s Emirates will fly the superjumbo between DFW and Dubai.

Must have been a little too far west. Tried catching a view of it from my backyard.

Saw it from my office window in Pantego near Bowen and Pioneer, pretty cool.
