  • Anybody here own a Mazdaspeed 6?

If so how do you like it? Has it been pretty reliable? Thinking about retiring my 93 acura integra from daily driver duty and picking one up.

My dad has one, it's a cool car. He's pushing a little over 300awhp with a small host of mods. The rear diff is notoriously weak, along with the bolts that hold it in to the car. They make aftermarket diff mounts that solve that. 1st gear is useless; you shift out of it before 20mph! But other than that it's been a perfect daily driver/road trip car/toy for him since 07 when he got it.

Perfect! Sounds like a winner to me.

I test drove one in '06 but bought a Cobra instead. I'd still take a white one today for the right price, nice cars for sure, but I'm completely clueless on reliability. I remember reading about heat soak issues with the inter cooler?

What are you looking for in a daily? The MS6 will be more expensive to fuel up along with maintenance vs the Integra.

If you want something newer and similar to what you currently drive, I'd look into the 8th gen Civic Si for a daily.

Im really wanting a turbo 4 cylinder. Not because I care about racing it but its just more fun to drive.

Get a MS3..I had one for 5 years and beat on that thing like it was a red headed stepchild and it never broke once...90k miles when I sold it still running strong

If they made them in the sadan instead of the hatch I'd already own one!

I wasn't interested in the MS6 when I first saw it. It looked boring. Then I saw some pictures of some with wheels, lowered and a couple of other things and it changes the look. I like this one.

                    .

You can buy a 2.3 sedan and throw on a turbo kit for 3k...can't remember the company but there is a real nice kit out there for them

That picture is a normal Mazda 6 that's been lowered, bumper change, wing.

Ive had a daily that low and it sucked imho. \

I do think the car above looks nice.

This! My MS3 is the best daily I've had in a long time.
