I was the fourth son, 9 years younger than the oldest. My mom gave up by the time I was born. lol. I got normal spankings / smacked here or there, but that was it. My oldest two brothers got the switch treatment.

One set of my cousins got swats with a paddle. The paddle sat on display in the dining room and had written on it, in thick marker, "Board of Education". After witnessing its use a couple times, I was always scared when I stayed over. Not that they would have used it on me, but it certainly kept me in line by its mere presence!

Backhand slaps with rings on my moms fingers were the worst. She wouldn't even look sometimes. Beat with phone cord, shoes and basically anything she could get her hands on until I was about 11. By then I was bigger than her so she would just kick me out of the house then call the police and tell them I ran away. Couple days after I turned 18 she kicked me out for the last time. My whole senior year in high school I was on my own.

My mom was the queen of backhand slaps across the face. One day I overheard her telling her friend how much it hurt her to slap me like that, and she had bruising on the back side of her hand.........................it was fucking on after that. Every chance I had............ smart ass answer, to a slap in the face, to another smart ass remark........backhand across the face, to yet another smart ass remark. It seemed because it hurt her to slap me, I enjoyed the pain!
Well it did not take long for my mom to graduate to utensils for said discipline. Wood spoons, spatulas, leather belts, etc.........

Then there was dad, my dad was a boxer when he was younger and boxed for the Air Force when he was older. 1 small bad ass fucker. He scared the shit out of me even though I was twice his size and strength. He ruled by intimidation...........and was good at it. I got my ass beat by my parents weekly when I was younger. I prolly deserved it.

Never said it wasn't abuse. My family is really screwed up. Fortunately most are dead now.... or at least dead to me. I haven't spoken to my mother in 25 years.

But apparently some of you guys suffered just as I did. Of course I deserved it all and im sure you did too. How do you think it afected you? Are you better or worse for it? I like to think that im better because i see what the kids are like that dont get spanked.
