Anyone switch to Tmobile?

Switched almost a yr ago. 4 lines, unlimited talk+text on all and 2 smartphones w/unlimited data(no throttling + 3gigs to tether ea) and it's $140/month after tax with my 17% govt employee discount.

I get the 17% state discount as well...

Dont you have to hand over the phone as well if they pay your ETF?

I was considering switching myself, but it makes no sense to me since I get a 23% discount through my employer and we share 10 gigs of data on ATT vs 2.5 gigs for each with T-mobile. I dont want to be throttled to 2g speeds after 2.5 gigs....

You have to hand over a phone, not the one you were currently using. Many people on slickdeals have handed over old phones or even no contract $10 phones from Walmart.

I absolutely loved it at my old place. They must have had a tower right around the corner because the service was killer. Great data speed, etc.

I switched us from AT&T to T-Mobile to save some money, but am about to go back. T-Mobile's service sucks. Calls drop daily if I can get service. If you are outside of the city good luck getting any service.

You get what you pay for. If you want cheap that's the coverage you'll get. I have republic wireless now. Uses sprint towers. It's also only $10 per month but I've decided to not have any data. Its unlimited talk and text. $25 a month if you want unlimited data also.

The no data thing sucked for about a week. But I'm now seeing a world that's outside my phone. I don't think I'll ever turn data on. It's amazing how many places I go such as a restaurant and people never stop staring at their phone's. It's like the movie Wallie with all of the fat ass people riding around on their hovercrafts Lol.

I agree. I only have data because it was $5 more per month. Been rocking $30/mo for everything for two years. I'm fine with the level of service that buys me.

4g data is 40 a month according to the site. I couldn't even try 3g data

I've had TMobile since I got back last October. Even when you drop from 4G LTE to 4G, it's just about as fast. With taxes and fees, it works out to $113.32 a month for my two lines.

The coverage area is the worst I have ever seen. I have a friend that has straight talk. She is roughly paying the same but with better coverage. They are also utilizing their locked AT&T phones. I might be trying that here soon.

Just FYI, we almost switched from Verizon (bill is $300/mo) to Tmobile for your same reasons. BEWARE-they will not pay your EFT's unless you are getting new phones through tmobile. After you add 4 phones, you're back up to $200 for 4 phones (or more) depending on the phones you choose. They have loopholes all over the place so just check everything out in minute detail before doing anything rash.

you have to give them a phone and buy a phone. I have read plenty of people of people on slickdeals have received their etf refunds. They give tmobile any crap phone and buy the t999 phone for $30 and the etf is paid.

man that's the best signal i've seen with tmobile, i've gotten 60mb down before but it was in a certain spot in arlington. Usually just mid 40's

that speedtest was insane usually its 40mb down everywhere gotten as high as 60.
