  • Anyone switch to Tmobile?

Well, ATT is starting to piss me off. Either we pay $100/mo to upgrade 4 lines on our family plan (lose the discount) or go to ATT Next which brings us up $125/mo and no contract. Tmobile would be $100/mo and we bring our own phones. Watching some videos of the crazy CEO is really pushing me to switch. Just got the iphone 6 and there was a $40 activation and $25/mo increase.

    Tmobile pros:
4 lines with unlimited talk/text/web $100 (each phone gets 2.5gb of 4GLTE then comes down to 4g)
They will pay ETF fees (so we all upgrade and dump att with tmobile paying etf for all 4 lines)
Free music streaming (doesnt count against the 4glte bucket)
    No contract
    Free inflight with GoGo
Free wifi integrator (use your home wifi for perfect coverage at home)

    Downsides?
Coverage isnt perfect outside our area

We never use that much... They also offer unlimited where most companies these days dont anymore.

How long ago... Apparently their coverage is expanding like crazy. They also have a "test drive" where they send you an iphone for a week to test their coverage and speeds. They put a hold on your credit card for the iphone and as long as you return in it, no cost.

It's been about a month. I was with them for 8+ years and the service went to shit.

I'm on the same boat. Looking to leave Sprint, can't justify renewing my contract at $120 month for one phone. Looking at tmobil or metro. Verizon and ATT seem way too expensive.

Dont you have to hand over the phone as well if they pay your ETF?

I was considering switching myself, but it makes no sense to me since I get a 23% discount through my employer and we share 10 gigs of data on ATT vs 2.5 gigs for each with T-mobile. I dont want to be throttled to 2g speeds after 2.5 gigs....

I switched from Sprint in February. The service sucks when I leave the city, but sprints sucked everywhere.

if T-mobile worked at my house, I would still be with them...

I have gotten spoiled by having service pretty much everywhere though... we used to just accept the shit coverage because it worked fine most places we were and the price and customer service was great.

But having been with Verizon for a few years now, I can't imagine going back to the spotty coverage

I absolutely loved it at my old place. They must have had a tower right around the corner because the service was killer. Great data speed, etc.

after we bought the new place, I had friends with various carriers come over and I picked the one with the best signal

They just came out with this personal cell spot for the house. Hooks up to your internet and you can use wifi calling.

Last week, T-Mobile announced its latest Uncarrier phase, setting Wi-Fi calling and texting free by ensuring that all new phones on sale would be compatible with the service, and signing a deal with GoGo for in-flight texting and voicemail. The latter of which is available from today. But the cherry on the cake was the new Personal Cellspot. “Available for every qualifying Simple ... [read full article]
