Cabo - who has been ?

I don't know why anyone would go to Cabo (or anywhere on the west coast) and suffer desert and cold-ass, cloudy Pacific when beautiful Caribbean water is closer around Playa del Carmen. Maybe just personal preference though. Sammy Hagar sure seems to love Cabo.

I have cruised both the western and eastern sides of Mexico. We much rather prefer the east. All though, PV was cool.

We did a day trip into the mountains for zip lines and whatnot. Only spent a day there.

I've been to Cancun once and have no desire to go back. Personally, I love the old Mexico desert feel of Baja and Cabo.

Cancun is a dirty tourist trap, and Playa Del Carmen is catching up fast. But the rest of the Mayan Riviera area is pretty awesome.

I couldn't get out of PV fast enough.

I was in PV earlier this year for 5 days, was nice, we pretty much never left the resort.... well, the dolphin swim and evening boat ride, but all inclusives will leave you laying by the pool/on the beach drinking beyond your boundaries.

Over on Race-dezert they have a thread about Cabo with several people living down there. They are saying 6 months at the earliest before they even expect to be back to some normalcy.
