I had a problem with Walmart a few years ago, I got a battery from them and had to return 3 different batteries. Finally I said the hell with it and went to Auto Zone. Problem solved.

exactly what I was thinking earlier. Anytime I have kept a receipt in the glovebox, the ink was completely faded in a few months.

I have returned two within the last year without receipt. One was over three years old and they just gave me a new one free. The other one was maybe a year and they also gave me another with no charge.

Each time the tire and lube section was closed so a normal floor person handled the deal. Maybe they just did not know or care.

Ive been considering this. Go in after hours and deal with a person who knows nothing, versus dealing with a guy who knows nothing, but has a managers name tag, and is lazy.

I worked as a asst there for a few years. At least in 2005 with no receipt you where out of luck.

I dont know what they do now, But i will tell you this.

Do not put the receipts in the stupid little stick on pouch. They will litterly fall apart.

Other than that I'm glad you got a battery even though it was your fault for loosing the thing to begin with.

The paper the machines use has a thermal pigment that does not like UV light or additional heat after printing.

I mentioned it once, but the walmart battery in my DD survived an 8 month stint, and a 4 month stint in Colorado winters, in storage, and didnt even need a jump either time. I like 'em.

But, I will still continue my wal-mart boycott on everything other than batteries.

I took the wife's car battery to Walmart and it's sticker says it's 2 1/2 years old. 3 year free replacement, came with the car used. They tested it and said "Well sir, battery is fried, go get another."

5 minutes, in tested, and got another. No problem, no receipt
