Who gives a shit if somebody called? The officers did not witness any lewd acts so they can get bent. Why the hell would he need to see ID if he did not witness a crime? What is checking their ID going to do? Nothing. Show ID and they leave. What's the point? Ruhspect my authorituh!

I'm torn on that one. On one hand, assuming the police are honest, there really isnt anything to worry about. On the other, we have dishonest cops out there too.

Shiiiiit. Don't listen to a thing I have to say until I survive this process, pass the bar and can actually say with some degree of certainty that I might have a clue.

Interesting. What probable cause did the police have to detain her? A phone call? That is pretty lose. Where was the reasonable certainty that the cops had that there was a crime taking place? Is it not the responsibility of the cop to observe an actual crime, or what he concludes could be possible criminal activity instead of acting on the untrained eye of a buttinski?

Again, she.was not required to show ID. That is one of the rights (albeit, an eroding one) that is in place to limit the government. Sure, she could have shown and ended it, but she isn't legally compelled to do so.
Thanks for typing out everything I was thinking.

Here's a couple of rules when dealing with police officers (Gestapo) of ANY municipality.

Rule #1 - Be polite and answer all questions truthfully.
Rule #2 - If asked to show a proper form of I.D., comply.
Rule #3 - Do not be disrespectful to authority.
Rule #4 - Don't have a sense of self entitlement.

If you break ANY of these rules you can/will be tazed, arrested, beatin or even kilt!

Its amazing how when you do those 4 things, you usually get just a warning, and your 5 minute encounter is over.

                          Thanks for the tips!

I've been using this method for over 30 yrs. when dealing with cops, never have had any problems, at all, EVER!
Even when fucking up and I've gone to jail, its been a pleasant experience. It sucked and cost a lot of fucking money and valuable time, but I've never had any of the above happen to me.

Real rule #1 - Be white.

You can be polite and politely refuse to answer, show ID, tell the truth (or lie). Even your silence can get you in trouble if you immediately shut up or shut up for "no reason" prior to your Miranda rights being read.

You know, the Nazis had pieces of flair that they made the Jews wear.
