Have you ever flown on 9/11?

If so.... Was it weird? I was supposed to return from Chicago last night but I had to stay another day to finish work. Now it looks like I'll finish today and fly out this evening.
It just seems unlucky to fly on the 13th anniversary of 9/11!

I have. I've kind of gotten over it at this point. I did fly out on the first day they opened up flights after 9/11. *that* was worrisome.

I've done it a couple times but I also used to make sure I was on a cruise ship on 9/11 just in case. I did book a trip to Florida in October 2001 because it was so cheap.

They won't hit us with the same method like they did on 9/11. You are probably more safe on 9/11 than any other time.

It's what they have planned next that worries me.

We never expected hijacked airliners to become missles.

Who knows what they could use that we haven't thought of.

I got a good one for you guys. My brother just got a job with Delta as a pilot. His first actual flight (just finished training) is today out of LaGuardia this evening and he will be arriving at his destination at a scheduled time of 9:11pm.

He feels good and is looking forward to it, but all things considered, he would have preferred to do his first real flight on a different day. haha.

Are you seriously on that flight? It's his first "real" flight on the Delta jet. He has almost 2500 hours in an F-16 and other aircraft, so he's quite competent.
