I've accepted the fact that most people around DF/W have no clue how to drive properly. That said, I was traveling SB 35 near 635 last night, and some ass bags decided it was a best idea to slam on their brakes on the ice patch under 635. WHY haven't people figured out that braking and sudden steering over ice is a bad idea?

If you don't want to do 40-45 like everyone else, stay in the far right lane, or get off the highway.

If you see a lifted white F250 w/ a Ranch Hand get out of the way. My wife is driving it right now.You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

1. Leave distance between you and the car in front of you, if the car in front of you isn't leaving enough distance in front of them, leave more in front of you.
2. Don't hit your brakes when you feel the car start to slide a little
3. Maintain speed, braking and accelerating on ice are not your friends
4. If you can't handle the speed that everyone else is going, then slow down and get in the right lane, I'm not mad at you for being safe.

You impatient fucks annoy me. I had this guy pass our entire line doing about 20 on a dry patch as you explained. Mr. Ricky Bobby decided it was a good idea to pass in a completely covered ice area. Yeah, guess where he ended up? Side ways on the side of the road. Goodjob, hoss.
I have driven every day in these conditions and every day I see a new vehicle on my way home on the side of the road. Streets have improved, yes, but there are still ice patches. You doing 45+ on dry areas means nothing. All it takes is for you needing to stop ahead and there is nothing but ice patches in front of you.
I will continue my route at 40 and less and will brake as I see fit.
Ps, don't like rushing? Be responsible and wake up earlier.Last edited by 347Mike; 02-03-2011, 01:03 PM.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.

I'm a 20mph person...but all the back roads I have to drive on are still ice, with the occasional dry spot.
I am not a fan of driving on ice. I know what I need to do (no brakes, no gas, no sudden turns, just steady and easy), but I don't like it."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

Backpeddling, no, I did however rephrase my post because I realized different people drive different roads to work and that was a very broad statement I made. The speedlimit on NW Hwy is 45 so I was doing about that and felt pretty safe. It's people that are so freaked out because of the crap they see on the news that actually cause more problems by going slow and being a obstruction in the middle lane going 5 MPH and slamming on their brakes if they even see a patch of ice they're retarded. I guess since most people have been cooped up for the last 3 days that they are all getting a little grouchy, as evident by most of these posts yours included.
PS I left a full hour earlier than normal to ensure I would be on time so that complaint is also out the window.Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. And even if it doesn't cheer you up, it cheers him up.

I don't think anyone needs to be freaked out by what is on the news when there is solid proof of the road conditions when there are vehicles on the side of the road.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.
