My last weekend living in Fort Worth.

This will be my last weekend living here in the metroplex. After leaving our hometown of Amarillo in 2002. Several months ago we decided to move back. So for my last weekend here I plan to take in as much fun stuff as I can!

Thursday - Decatur Swap Meet
Friday - Decatur Swap Meet
Saturday - TMS Dirt Track Nationals
Sunday - REST
Monday - MOVING DAY.

My parents, which still live in Amarillo, could use the help. Plus I will live where all my cars are stored!!!! I am going to miss all the car events that I have been able to attend on a regular basis. I will still make Pate Swap Meet every year though!!!

The hard part was we had a house built 2 years ago. We were not sure if "buyers" would like our personal choices. However, it sold in 14 days. We did not make any money but we really did not lose any either. The flip side of that is we tried to buy a bigger house with a 60x80 shop and got within 2 weeks of closing. Then the appraisal did not meet our offer so the deal did not go through. IF, we had ended up with that house there is no way we could have tied up everything so quick and not lost a sh$t pot full of money!! It all worked out for the best!


The other reason we decided to make the move back home. By doing so, it will allow us to invest a LOT more into our retirement and investments. So help the parents out, play with my cars more and put more away!!!

Now we just have to find, buy or build a house........again.

lol. I lived in Canyon until my dad transferred here for Bell in '85. There really isn't much to do up there but drink. When I swung by on the first leg of my Roswell Trip the college had expanded and looked much nicer than it did in the 80's. Watch out for those Sigma Nu guys if you have daughters, OP.

I get the prime rib. They cook it right, not much else you can screw up. Their brewery is pretty cool.

They do sell some excellent fudge in the giftshop. I had a sirloin and it was like they boiled it or something. I've had better food at Texas Roadhouse at half the price. lol And it is amusing if you're there when someone tries to do the 80oz or however big it is challenge up on the stage. There were 3 or 4 people going at it the last time I was there.

Im 100% sure I could have done that challenge without breaking a sweat when I was about 15. Now I wouldnt finish and it would take longer to recover than minor surgery.

I'm finally finishing up purchasing my first house. It's been a royal PITA, due to a minor paperwork mistake. Fortunately, it all went through, and it ultimately got me a much better rate!
