As a CHL holder we are told not to pull it out unless you intend to use it and in that event you better be in fear of your life or someone else's life. In the wife's case her husband was getting beaten to death, one person had already brandished a weapon and one had on "brass" knuckles, so that to me constitutes fear for her husband's life and she should have unloaded on all those fuggers!Carl S.

So according to the league it is ok to be beaten to death or shot, but not to defend yourself. That's a good message for the kids. I think seeing a gun is a lot less traumatic to a kid then watching your coach be beaten to death. This story really just pisses me off. Maybe its because I have coached in the past and am now currently coaching youth baseball that this gets me so hot.

Rules are rules, of course in that instance, nobody is following the rules. At that point in time one has to survive and make decisions for ones own safety.
When you agree to coach there are rules, there are also rules for parents to follow as well. I also wouldn't be coaching in areas that have thugs involved. I went to my little nephews little league game in Mansfield, parents drinking in the stands, parking lot, etc. I haven't been back, I kept waiting for some shit like that to go down.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

She may have had the smarter move by just defusing the situation. I cant even imagine the type of "sensational news" that would be coming out from a white woman killing six black men.

As an example.. Someone is on your property uninvited and refuses to leave. You are authorized to use force in that instance. So drawing your weapon, and holding it to your side would be an appropriate response. Aiming the weapon would not be, as deadly force is not authorized in that instance.
Not that I am planning on running around pulling my weapon any chance I get, but I would rather have it out if the situation quickly deteriorated to one warranting deadly force.

I've never had to aim my weapon at anyone, I dun un-holstered it on many occasions but, in all of those instances I was so lucky I didn't have to shoot at anyone.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.
