Cops taze 8 year old girl

Yeah I can't see explaining the decision of using a taser on a child. I'd think of any other way, and there are plenty of other ways. Another example of terrible training or complete lack of common sense among today's law enforcement.
However, if the kid hurt herself, I'm not one to ever blame responding officers. In today's world most would blame them, and TV and the boogie man before accepting any responsibility. Knowing this, the cops probably just said "fuck it, taze her before we're blamed for her injuries.". Ironic, but I doubt they tazed her because they were in fear of their own safety. If the did, they need a new profession.

I'm sorry, I was talking about 4 trained, presumably adult, Police Officers. I'm not sure where I said that it was absolutely impossible for an 8 year old to hurt someone half their age.

He implied it multiple times. I took it as him believing an 8 year old can't cause any damage so I provided the first article I could.
As for the topic at hand did you read the state's report? It showed where they tried talking with her and why they felt the teaser was the best option. I agree with what they did if for no other reason it worked 100% as intended and didn't cause any injuries.

This might shock you, but people defuse situations like this everyday without tazers and they live to talk about it. Using the "I'm going home without injuries" excuse would make a lot of folks just stay home everyday.

They did exactly as trained. This might shock you but I've had to answer calls where people were trying to harm themselves and I could get hurt. Luckily no one was injured but that doesn't mean it couldn't have happened. Just because I've been able to do it without having to use a taser (that I don't carry because the department doesn't have enough) doesn't mean I'm going to negatively judge someone else because the subject was 8 and not 18.
