  • So what does sears have that is worth buying?

For those that never browse slickdeals sears has 20 off 20 ( back in sywr points) and 10 off 10. Basically you can buy 1 thing and keep rolling if you dont care about being banned from buying at sears apparantly.

So bought a few weight plates, indoor antenna, screwdriver sets sandpaper. What else is left? Half the stuff takes a week off shipping. Any suggestions?

I still buy Craftsman hand tools and compressors. My fridge came from Sears, and we bought a bed for one of the kids yesterday.

So rather than closing their ill thought-out loophole, they instead are banning people for exploiting it? lol

I said "Screw Sears" after their web-site had a replacement fuse for $5, and when I went to the store they were going to charge me $16 for off the shelf, or if I ordered through their internal website, would charge me $13.

I ended up using Amazon and bought two fuses for $6 with shipping. My next appliance purchase will be any where else but Sears, and I told them that in a "bait and switch" email complaint, in which the reply was we're sorry, here's a 10% off coupon on your next purchase.

Yup all I needed was a thermal fuse for my dryer which they didn't have in stock(surprise) and I watched as the Sears parts guy Google my dryer model to get to their website for the diagram for the fuse, then told me its going to 6.98 for the fuse and 7.95 to ship it. No thanks off to Amazon.

Walmart does the same thing. Prices online are better w/ free in store pick up. Go to the store to buy the same item and it's 30% more and they refuse to price match their own online site... HOW THE FUCK does that make sense?

Sears stock has been going down for the last five years. With customer service like mine, gee...I wonder why?

Managed to make $180 off them and $180 from a CC company loyalty program about a year ago from a furniture purchase. They sure don't know how to cancel an online order correctly. lol

I shall check this out. Suggestions.. battery chargers, jumpers, air compressors etc

                          Buh bye:

In a widely publicized note to investors, Gary Balter of Credit Suisse said that it is best that Sears Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: SHLD) close its Sears and Kmart locations while they, and the inventory they sell, still have value. Sears Holdings operates about 2,350 stories.

In a note, the analyst wrote:

Let’s face facts. Sears is generating negative operating cash flow of between $1 billion and $2 billion [closer to upper end, it looks like] in 2014. Unless it sells off real assets while somehow maintaining the cash flow from those assets, this story is not likely to have a happy ending, and that ending continues to depend on suppliers.

I doubt they'd close up shop with 3 months until Christmas.
