It's just so hyperbolic. One car is shit, and another car just like it with some minor trim differences is great. That makes no sense to me. I really like the 05 in all it's forms, and when the stock bumper got damaged, I got a chance to put an aftermarket bumper on that I felt looked better (like the concept car). The difference being, I didn't think the 05 looked like shit with a stock bumper, just better with the new one.

I see enough there that I will probably like them once a couple get lowered with the right wheel/tire combo on board.

But that yellow car is just butt ugly. Ouch. Looks like a used Mazda.

So lets take the opposite perspective on this...What would that "Awesome" to you yellow 2015 look like with one of these on it?

Small subtle mod/change, yet completely makes the car look like shit.

Wheels/stance/trim are half of the looks, if not more. So yes, these items make or break the overall impression and the yellow one looks like shit, as do any stock v6's of old. That gray one above - tits.

Interesting point. I would argue that there's nothing small, nor subtle about that mod.

The thing is, there's very little difference between that yellow one and the 50th beyond wheels, a different 1/4 window treatment and some barely-noticeable trim. (Color aside, of course)

Now, if you just hate yellow on cars, there's nothing to be done about that. I'm not a huge fan myself, especially this shade of yellow. That doesn't condemn the while model though.

I don't mind yellow, hell I had a yellow Mach 1 for a bit. That is the least of that cars problems. I would start with stance and wheels/tires first and foremost.

By that definition, the vast majority of stock cars look bad. Maybe it's a perception difference, I'm just focusing on the intrinsic aesthetics of the car. Body shape and proportion. We all know wheels and stance help and are easily changed.

The stance looks wrong, the ass end looks too narrow, and the way the whole front end slopes downwards all make it look ugly from a rear side shot. From the front angles look right. The rear view just looks all wrong.

Now you listen to me, jerkoff: if you're not part of the solution, you're a part of the problem. Quit being part of the fucking problem and put the other guy back on!

What will be interesting is if you do the same, or if you remember this conversation and decide to be heard-headed about it. I don't really care either way. You did seem to like the 05 though...

I hate to point it out but some cars are ass ugly and stay that way. The Mustang IIs have never been popular. The 71-73 are on the fence. The 79-82 fox cars even looked like shit. Maybe if they do something similar to what they did with the fox this car might look better but there are areas in the body that I don't care for. I don't care for the way the trunk meets the back window or the way the ass end hangs out, those things aren't going to change.

Yeah, time has not been kind to the years you mentioned and for the most part I agree. That said, I personally don't think the 15 suffers from the problems that those did. But, eye of the beer holder and all that.
