Yeah, no phone calls, multiple hours late or no shows..... not 25 minutes late with a courtesy call before hand to let you know they were running late. Some of those people have legitimate complaints.
Shoulda let him deliver, slipped him a 20 and sent him on his way with a roadie or two. You probably cost him his commission and the gas money if he is a contractor not to mention his time. At least he is out working and not sucking the govt tit.
last 2 mattresses I ordered it was online didnt even go into the store just read reviews and turned out great.
Same here. Just recently ordered from SAMs.com and everything went great. Only issue and it's rather amusing is how often they call/email you in regards to delivery updates. I had 2 emails and 3 phone calls the day of delivery, mind you 2 were automated.
What chick? I was hanging around MotherJuggz for a bit, then I went to Jared's party where we watched her sister pass out on the lawn.
One of the illustrious "about nine," eh? You can tell us. That woman single handedly built the biggest Eskimo Brother network in the southern United States.
I bought it last week and they set up a delivery window last night of 7-10PM...... Who delivers that late? ..... Anyway, it fits within my schedule so I don't sweat it. ........ He says he's sorry and asks if it's still ok to come....... I tell him "sure".
As I'm laying in bed trying to go to sleep, I FINALLY hear someone knock on my door just shy of 10:30. Screw that. He proceeds to knock for about 10 minutes. He calls my cell phone a couple times, but I just let it go to VM. I listen to the messages this morning and the guy left a couple, but the interesting one is where he says "I'm at your door, do you want your mattress or not?" WTF, seriously? Needless to say, I'm not happy. I didn't get my mattress, they were well beyond delivery hours, and I got a rude @$$ Messican leaving me messages. I spent $900 out the door (not much compared to what mattresses go for these days) and it was already free delivery. What would be appropriate for me to ask here? FREE mattress? Not quite, but I figure another $100 off the deal for me wasting my entire evening. Or should I aim higher? Anyway, screw Sleep Experts. What do you guys think?
You were fine with the late delivery because it fit your schedule. Then you told the guy to come when called. Then you tried to go to sleep? Then on top of that when the guy gets there you did not answer your door or phone. Sounds like you can either come pick up your order at the store or pay a delivery fee for the second trip! You have buyers remorse and want something out of the deal. You mention that you wasted your evening.....well what about the delivery drivers evening? What about the store managers/warehouse managers evening???
The delivery guy doesn't schedule deliveries, corporate does. And corporate probably schedules the deliveries tightly back to back all day. I'll bet this guy doesn't even have time to take a shit or take a break and eat lunch during the day.
Combine the tight delivery schedule with traffic or problems that happened earlier with a delivery and the guy is behind and won't make up that time.
You picked a late delivery time so your delivery is going to be impacted by all of that.
The delivery guy isn't making a shit ton of money in that job. Wrestling mattresses all day is not a job that I'd want. It's hot sweaty work.
And I'll bet he has a wife and kids he'd like to see, but he's got to finish his route before that can happen.
Seems like a little more thought and compassion should have happened from you. He was 30 minutes late - big deal.
My advice would be to say that you fabricated the story only to get views and posts. Also, please state that we should all be thankful to you for providing entertainment on this board.
