Help - 245/40/17 USED ....

I need some help guys... Anyone have TWO 245/40/17 tires laying around, used ? ( im not asking for free tires, i will gladly pay for them )

I have gone to about 10 used tire shops and craigslist with no luck.

I do not have $200+ to drop on two tires right now.

Have you tried 4M tire in Irving? They usually have everything.

Or if you have a reason to be in Hurst, just drive down Pipeline road between Precinct and Brown trail, there's 2-3 used tire shops that make excellent deals.

Is there a reason for ONLY that size? 235/45-17 may be easier to find.

Discount Tire had 235/45-17's in Kumho for $50/ea brand new.

Im going to go with the Kumhos @ 56 each.... anyone have the hookup at a discount tire ?
The price for the tires is really good, but im always looking to save an extra buck ..!

They're little over a half an inch taller, and a little less than half an inch narrower.

I wouldn't think so.. Depending on which end of the car you put them on (and which car, of course) it will throw your speedo off a tad (like 1.5 mph at 60). I have heard that some ABS cars don't like different diameter tires, but only in conversation so don't know how true it is.

It can cause some weird issues for sure...
